JOB TITLE: Day Mechanic Shop Helper– Full-Time

LOCATION: Louisville, OH

HOURS: 1st Shift - 10 AM - 6 PM

COMPENSATION: $17.00 / Hour

TRAVEL: Minimal (1-10%)

Sweeping Corp of America seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Helper. This is a career entry level job that will support mechanical technicians by retrieving parts for repair and other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain the cleanliness of trucks and support equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard
  • Prioritize multiple parts pickup and deliveries.  
  • Ability to respond to emergency pickup and delivery.  
  • Pays attention to details and observe safety precautions. 
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.   
  • Able to identify correct parts, based on part number and shelf location.  
  • Assist with inventory control.  
  • Help technicians as necessary.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:   

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.  
  • Prior delivery/driving experience  
  • Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred 
  • Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.  
  • No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required.  
  • Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending as required.  
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.  
  • May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse.  
  • May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks-CDL related
