What you'll be doing:
As a Custodian you will help to maintain the cleanliness of the CDC Chamblee location, the leading national public health institute of the United States. You'll complete the manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of the building. You will also perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength which would include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp mopping tile floors and stairwells.
  • Dust and clean walls, doors, windows and other surfaces above floor.
  • Dust, clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Police common areas.
  • Police around building exterior.

Requirements:
  • General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
  • You'll need to be able to stand for long periods of time and maintain a positive attitude while engaging in repetitive tasks.
  • The ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength which may include the use of cleaning equipment deemed necessary to perform the daily duties of the position.
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your supervisor and other co-workers.
  • Ability to comply with Federal vaccine mandate per contract site with or without a reasonable accommodation.
