  • Position Location: East Mesa/Admin Office (Power & Main)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
This position obtains complete patient health information as required for clinical encounters with the physician. This position assists physicians and other staff members by providing accurate and up to date patient health information in the electronic health record.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Research new patients and obtains records from the referring physician, from hospitals for any recent hospitalizations, and any pertinent diagnostic testing results per assigned physician's preferences.
  2. Creates a medical records request electronically and sends to appropriate facility.
  3. Obtains last office visit notes from referring physician and obtains accurate records from hospitals by accessing hospital systems.
  4. Ensures all ordered testing and/or reports are in the electronic medical record by accessing different imaging and diagnostic systems within the practice. Locates all missing testing, labs, reports and dictation.
  5. Completes routing memos to relay information to physicians and medical assistants.
  6. Places all chart prep for next day clinic in appropriate destination by 2:00 pm the day before.
  7. Maintain accurate filing in EHR, by checking all categories in patient's chart during prep.
  8. Completes orders and works incoming tasks from providers.
  9. Places alert in chart for CAD patients without stress test in system.
  10. Filing duties - files batches daily.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications/Eligibility
High school diploma or GED.
3 months of related experience and/or training
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Medical records or chart preparation experience preferred
