Job description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Cast House Manager will serve as a single point of contact for Bonnell's casting needs, with a primary focus on quality processing and production efficiencies that will allow us to reduce scrap and increase production rates.

The principle role of theย Cast House Managerย is to provide highly skilled technical expertise and knowledge for operating the Ingot area as well as the Aluminum Lithium Cast house.ย  This positionย is responsible for developing and implementing advanced information management systems to ensure that critical process, recovery, and quality information is delivered to the process operators.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leadership Experience - Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on fostering technical excellence in metal and alloy processing.
  • Technical Knowledge - Working knowledge of melting, casting, finishing, process control, quality systems, and production reporting, including an understanding of how metals and alloys behave during industrial processing.
  • Software Proficiency - Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint to support technical documentation, process analysis, and project planning.
  • Communication Skills - Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work crossfunctionally across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
  • Time Management - Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a demanding, fastpaced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education - Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, chemical engineering, operations, manufacturing, metallurgy, or a related technical field involving the study and improvement of metals and alloys.
  • Industry Experience - 3-5 years of technical and managerial experience in melting, casting, finishing, or related manufacturing operations, ideally involving metallurgical analysis or alloy development.
  • Quality Systems - Experience implementing statistical process control, corrective action processes, and advanced quality systems to ensure metallurgical consistency, product integrity, and process reliability.

Work Environment & Scheduleย 

This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with production, maintenance, scheduling, quality, and operations teams. This role may require flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours as production needs arise.
