Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an ambitious Lead Senior Capture Director with demonstrated success in capturing new business within our Federal Civilian Sector.  As a Lead Senior Capture Director you will lead priority pursuits and partner with Sector Business Development Executives, Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts to develop opportunity win strategies, propose and close differentiated solutions that provide customer value to requirements and challenges.

You will play a critical role as a capture lead on a Go-To-Market team, responsible for leading the design of win strategies, innovative and cost-effective mission relevant solutions and compelling proposals any combination of: Mission Engineering, Digital Transformation, AI / Data, Cybersecurity, and Cloud / Enterprise IT solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers across the Federal landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of Operational environments and how to position Peraton to deliver end-to-end mission value to program sponsors.
  • Lead highly visible Peraton priority pursuits activities across all phases of our business acquisition process opportunities >$500M.
  • Responsible for the development of a winning offer and solution sets (e.g., technical, management, past performance, cost/price).
  • Work with growth team solution professionals and technical subject matter experts to determine the overall solution strategy and approach, aligning customer's objectives and requirements to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges to develop integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal responses.  
  • Establish and manage communications and relationships with partners and subcontractors, coordinating customer communications and relationships with Business Development to drive high quality solutions and compelling value propositions.
  • Articulate all aspects of the win strategy, solution, and business case including risk and mitigation plans during governance reviews with senior Peraton management.
  •  Mentor other professionals in capture pursuits. 
Qualifications
  • 18+ years of experience to include a minimum of 8 years of full life cycle capture management experience
  • Ability to lead priority pursuits; to include management and partnership with solutions architects, capture managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Track record of growth as a capture leader with specific customer intimacy with Government Departments, Agencies, or the Intelligence Community
  • Proven track record of teaming and developing mutually beneficial partner relationships with peers and other vendors
  • Excellent business acumen; strong understanding of Federal procurement, contracting, and financial rules and regulations
  • Able to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and close solutions that have measurable and positive business impact
  • Display exceptional strategic selling skills including discovery, ROI development and presentation, sales cycle maintenance, tactical planning and closing
  • Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills in coordinating the sales cycle
  • Ability to demonstration large single award capture wins of $500 million +
  • Excellent working knowledge about how to build and manage Bid and Proposal budgets for large, complex, lengthy pursuits efficiently and effectively 
  • Establish, build, and maintain positive, professional relationships and interaction at all decision levels
  • Maintain a highly credible professional profile within the industry
  • Ability to communicate issues, concerns, and problems in a solution-oriented manner
  • Ability to meet fast-paced hard deadlines with extended work hours
  • Experience in development of successful negotiation of teaming agreements, competitive pricing strategies, and strategies around varies contract types
  • Active top secret security clearance
  • Must be local to Reston, VA

Target Salary Range$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
