Job description

Day Shift Monday through Friday
PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered on the first day of the month after hire, 401(k) after 6 months.
Overview: As a Capture Manager at Keel Midwest, you will be responsible leading capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts by developing capture strategies including business solutions for pursuit opportunities, identification of potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming with suppliers, position to win, and coordination of proposal and bid activities.
Job Functions:
  • Develop customer and program specific winning strategies.
  • Coordinate with Proposal Engineers and Business Development Managers on what and ow to offer to client and how to present it, including pricing, lead time, and direct sales.
  • Lead the pursuit through the entire sales cycle.
  • Hand off to launch team upon receipt of an order.

Physical Demands: Minimal physical stress, but moderate to high mental stress due to the impact position has on customer satisfaction and future business.
Work Environment: Typical office environment. Some time will be spent on the shop floor, so exposure to debris, eye-flash, dust, and moving equipment is to be expected and PPE is required in those instances. Visits both from and to vendors are to be expected.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, Association of Proposal Management Professionals Capture Practitioner Certification preferred.
  • Fifteen (15) years minimum in a related management position involving contracts, finance, quality, program management, engineering, proposals, fabrication, welding, and machining.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills required.
  • Must be able to think analytically regarding marketing, finance, contracts, comprehensive and technical reading, math, blueprint reading including GD&T, bill of materials, and material specifications.
  • Knowledge an understanding of manufacturing processes and order of operations to achieve product realization.
  • Proficiency in typing and data entry along with Microsoft Office Suite is a requirement.
