Capture and Estimating Coordinator

Location: Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Position Summary

LAUKOA is seeking a motivated Capture and Estimating Coordinator to support business development, capture, proposal, and estimating activities. This hybrid role will support opportunity tracking, contract review, sources sought and RFI responses, subcontractor outreach, pricing support, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable using technology, and interested in learning Government contracting, facilities support services, construction, estimating, and proposal development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain sales, opportunity, and capture databases.
  • Review solicitations, sources sought notices, RFIs, and other Government procurement documents.
  • Assist with entry-level capture analysis, including reviewing contract requirements and determining whether LAUKOA may be qualified to pursue an opportunity.
  • Break down contract requirements, scope elements, staffing needs, past performance requirements, and key compliance items.
  • Draft sources sought responses, RFI responses, and other Government market research submissions.
  • Support pricing and estimating efforts by contacting subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for quotes and capability information.
  • Assist with entry-level estimating using tools such as RSMeans, historical pricing, vendor quotes, and subcontractor input.
  • Maintain capture schedules, proposal calendars, action item trackers, and internal deadlines.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and track follow-up items.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including business development, estimating, pricing, operations, contracts, and proposal teams.
  • Organize files, maintain documentation, and provide administrative support for capture and proposal efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement of capture tools, templates, databases, and internal processes.
  • Support occasional travel for site visits, industry events, subcontractor meetings, or other business development activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in business, construction management, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in administrative support, business development, estimating, proposal coordination, construction, facilities maintenance, or Government contracting preferred.
  • Strong interest in learning Federal contracting, capture management, proposal development, and estimating.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to review detailed documents and summarize key requirements.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and action items.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct basic research and summarize findings clearly.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with subcontractors, vendors, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Basic understanding of pricing, estimating, construction, facilities maintenance, or Government contracting preferred.
  • Ability to learn estimating tools such as RSMeans.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn sales databases, CRM systems, proposal tools, and estimating platforms.
  • Strong AI skills preferred, including the ability to use AI tools to support research, document review, drafting, summarization, data organization, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to communicate by phone, email, video conference, and in-person meetings.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry office materials or equipment consistent with administrative duties.

Salary Range

  • Between $60,000 - $80,000
