Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Sourcing, the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect CapEx leads commercial activities for assigned indirect CapEx categories in a cost-effective, timely, and ethical manner. This role is responsible for sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, market analysis, cost reduction initiatives, contract support, and supplier performance management. The position partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, Technical, and Project Management to support capital investment and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect CapEx categories in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead sourcing activities related to capital equipment, facilities, utilities, and other major investments.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, Technical, and Project Management on CapEx planning and execution.
  • Establish and foster fair and equitable relationships with suppliers to support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, including RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Support commercial and contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing data to negotiate favorable commercial terms.
  • Identify and report potential supply chain issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and support business requirements.
  • Review supplier performance against established KPIs on a regular basis with key suppliers.
  • Pursue cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, alternative solutions, and technological advancements.
  • Collect, compile, and present market data to identify potential problem areas and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect, compile, and present purchasing and spend data based on internal sourcing activities.
  • Provide advice and guidance related to assigned sourcing categories.
  • Complete monthly reporting activities, including activity reports, purchase price variance analysis, cost improvement projects, and spend reporting.
  • Leverage digital tools and systems to improve sourcing efficiency and transparency.
  • Support sustainability and ESG initiatives within the supply base.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when dealing with critical and confidential organizational matters.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position currently has no direct reports.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing capital equipment and supporting CapEx projects, facilities, and large-scale investments
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of capital planning and execution

Preferred:
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or highly engineered environments
  • Track record of managing supplier performance and driving cost reduction initiatives
  • Knowledge of sustainability, ESG, or responsible sourcing practices

Language Skills
Required: Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred: Multilingual capabilities
Technical Skills
Required:
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with ERP and sourcing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa)
  • Familiarity with digital sourcing tools and spend analytics platforms

Interpersonal Skils
Required:
