Job description

Our Team

About Cimpress: Cimpress is a global leader in mass customization quoted in the high technology NASDAQ stock market. We personalize objects for our customers using the most sophisticated printing and post-printing technologies to integrate their individual messages and images onto favorite articles. One of our strategic mantras is to respect the entrepreneurial spirit in all our businesses by following a decentralized model, in which our businesses are empowered to make the best decisions for their individual results. This has helped us reach a US$3.5bn turnover and strengthen our leadership in the web-to-print market.

The CAPEX Team: While our businesses operate independently, Capex Global Procurement is one of the few central capabilities that support all Cimpress businesses. We act as the strategic coordination point across over 30 global manufacturing sites and 2,000+ CAPEX assets. We are shifting the business from "reactive buying" to a "planned strategy," focusing on building long-term relationships with category-leading suppliers to deliver maximum value throughout the full ownership cycle of our machine park.

The training will take place over 10 months between September ‘26 and June ‘27. Applicants must be enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship. The work is performed remotely for the majority of the time; however, occasional presence (expected to be only 1-2 times during the internship) could be required at our Venlo factory to meet the CAPEX team in person and familiarize yourself with a world-class printing manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

The Role: Your Impact To support this strategic shift, we are building a Knowledge Ecosystem to share intelligence across our businesses. As our Global Capex Procurement Trainee, you will be the operational engine behind this central database. Your work directly enables our team to bundle global demand for unified negotiation power and provides the strategic visibility needed to guide long-term

  • Data & Analytics: Conduct weekly audits of our central asset database, cross-reference monthly purchase orders to capture new machinery, and proactively engage site responsibles to verify fleet data.

  • Supplier Intelligence: Drive our supplier evaluation process by distributing questionnaires, tracking stakeholder response rates, and flagging critical supplier feedback to Category Managers.

  • Community & Engagement: Maximize user adoption by hosting live onboarding showcases, publishing CAPEX news, and monitoring Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback to continuously improve our central tools.

  • AI & Process Operations: Moderate our Weekly CAPEX meeting, utilizing AI tools (like Gemini) to capture minutes and track action items, while delivering a concise update on the operational health of our central database.

What's In It For You? We will integrate you into our Global CAPEX Procurement team, not as an observer, but as a full, active member. We will support and mentor you along the way, but your ultimate influence, growth, and learning will be directly proportional to your own drive, curiosity, and interest.

During this internship, your main takeaways will include:
  • True International Experience: You will collaborate daily with global stakeholders across our 30+ manufacturing sites worldwide.

  • Direct Business Influence: You will gain the ability to directly influence data-driven procurement decisions and long-term technology investments.

  • Cutting-Edge Tech & AI Exposure: You will work within a top-tier technology company and gain highly sought-after, hands-on experience using AI tools to optimize real-world business operations.

  • Career Acceleration: You will experience the fast-paced dynamics of a growing, $3.5bn decentralized enterprise.

Your Qualifications

At Cimpress, we are striving to hire individuals that add new ideas and perspectives to our teams and enhance our culture. No matter your background or work experience, we strongly encourage you to apply—even if you feel that you don’t meet the exact requirements or have the same qualifications. You might be a great candidate for this or other opportunities.

  • Soft Skills: An outspoken and communicative personality who is highly proactive, disciplined, and demonstrates extreme diligence in keeping documentation and records accurate and up-to-date. You are not afraid to hop on video calls to chase data or engage with global stakeholders and possess the ability to plan and control projects effectively.

  • Hard Skills: Strong database management skills and experience cross-referencing complex data sets. You are proficient in using IT productivity tools like spreadsheets, presentation, and text processing software, and you have experience with AI prompting.

  • The Baseline: An excellent level of English is required, and a genuine passion for technology. Knowledge of other languages such as Spanish, German, French, or Italian is valued but not required.

Why You'll Love Working Here
