Job description

Job Title: Schedule Planner I - Material Planning and Control
Client: Heavy Machin manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Waterloo, IA, 50703
Shift: 1st Shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM) with possible overtime
Description:
Plans and schedules simple (fewer capacity constraints, fewer work centers, fewer processes, lower change-over complexity) manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts. Schedules requirements for material with regard to the Client Production System, including kanbans/triggers, delivery, and achievement of the production schedule. May develop line sequencing of options. May provide work direction.
Duties:
  • Schedules production parts.
  • Schedules service parts.
  • Expedites production and purchased parts.
  • Coordinates needed parts from other Client departments.
  • Coordinates and communicates the implementation of engineering and material changes.
  • Assists the production department in manpower planning.
  • Performs general administrative duties as needed to meet administrative support needs.
  • Assists in coordinating the department's inventory integrity and accuracy, including production and scrap reporting.

  • Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work off-shift hours if needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: 4-year degree in any business-related field.
  • Experience:
    • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
    • Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
    • Open to recent graduates, though preference will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of work history post-graduation.
    • No gaps in employment history.
  • Work Location: This position will spend 50% of the time working on the shop floor.
