We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business development process and ensuring close coordination and collaboration with the VP of Sales and Business Development and Sales Director. Your goal is to create business plans and value propositions that will allow EPE to strategically grow within target markets and segments globally. This also includes advancing relationships with new and existing clients and becoming a well-known industry resource. You will work independently but also collaborate with our leadership team to understand and promote our services and innovation opportunities. The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, and demonstrates a passion for creating the grid of the future. 

How you can make an impact:

  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials, while conducting long-term and short-term strategic research that informs the growth strategy.
  • Provides management and support for new business pipeline development, in consultation with VP of Sales and Business Development and Sales Director.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Coordinates closely with technical teams in all aspects of capture and proposal processes
  • Leads data analysis, reporting, and knowledge management to inform business development strategy and operations.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives, while ensuring the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics, meeting quarterly sales goals.
  • Develop and increase market awareness of EPEโ€™s capabilities and value proposition by participating in industry events and implementing a targeted communication plan with new and existing clients.
  • Identifies and executes new opportunities through request for proposal (RFPs); heavily participates in writing proposals to ensure RFPs and customer key expectations are met.
  • Supports customers through the successful execution of existing projects to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across Lines of Business to advise and be advised on market trends, upcoming industry news as well as new regulations impacting customers.
  • Provides accurate and detailed weekly sales forecasts and roadmaps with estimates of pipeline development and growth opportunities with conversion factors.
  • Creates and coordinates sales training program that enables junior staff to achieve their full potential for sales objectives.
  • Manages the Salesforce database for new and existing business by compiling and updating sales activities, communications, and customer information.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of marketing communications and collateral.
  • Manage budget.

Bring your passion, here's whatโ€™s needed:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in science, Business Administration, or Engineering (preferred). Appropriate work/sales experience may, in certain circumstances, substitute for this educational requirement.
  • 7+ years of experience in high volume sales and marketing consulting services to Utilities, Renewable Energy Markets or Oil and Gas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Previous experience developing and delivering presentations related to proposals, proposal strategies, business development and/or pursuit strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable and confident using Salesforce as an integral part of the sales process.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
