Position Summary:ย 

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs that support organizational growth and employee performance. This role also serves as a backup to the Human Capital Generalist, providing support for payroll processing and benefits administration as needed. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking in talent development with hands-on HR operational knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:


Learning & Development

  • Assist with designing and executing comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with business goalsย 
  • Conduct training needs assessments and identify skill gaps across the organizationย 
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate training programs (e.g., onboarding, leadership development, compliance training)ย 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics and feedback, and continuously improve programsย 
  • Manage learning management systems (LMS) and track employee training progressย 

HR Generalist Backup (Payroll & Benefits)

  • Serve as backup support for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policiesย 
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiriesย 
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity related to payroll and benefits ย 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support employee engagement and retention initiativesย 
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies related to training, payroll, and benefitsย 
  • Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional initiativesย 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field or 5 years of proven relatable experience.ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, with exposure to HR generalist functionsย 
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administrationย 
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skillsย 
  • Experience with LMS platforms and HRIS systemsย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentialityย 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPTD) are a plusย
