Job description

Our client is seeking a highly polished, detail-oriented Butler/ House Manager to take full ownership of the overall presentation, flow, and readiness of a multi-property estate portfolio. This individual will be responsible for upholding the highest standards across all residences, ensuring a seamless, five-star European hospitality environment at all times.
The ideal candidate is deeply attentive, proactive, and instinctive in their approach- someone who anticipates needs, notices what others may miss, and maintains an exceptional level of order, discretion, and precision throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the overall appearance, flow, and readiness of the home at all times
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs and ensure every item has a designated place and the home is consistently guest-ready
  • Maintain constant awareness of the environment, resolving issues before they are noticed
  • Build and implement systems, checklists, and processes to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
  • Oversee household inventory, including supplies, pantry items, and general household goods
  • Manage the in/out flow of items, deliveries, and returns
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guest arrivals and departures
  • Greet and orient guests, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience
  • Provide light service and valet-style support as needed, including packing and unpacking for principals
  • Provide turndown service and maintain hotel-level standards throughout guest stays
  • Assist with event setup and execution
  • Serve as the leader of presentation standards across the household staff
  • Be an integral member of the household team, working collaboratively with staff to ensure seamless operations and the highest standards of service
  • Travel ahead of principals domestically to prepare properties as needed

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in private households and/or ultra-luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in European five-star hotels or resorts
  • Butler training or formal hospitality education is a plus (not required)
  • Verifiable references required
  • Must be able to pass a background check
