Job description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Transporting student-athletes, coaches and staff to and from campus to practices and/or competitions; schedule must be flexible to include availability to work on weekday afternoons and evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Check fluid levels on lot and on the road; top off as needed.
  • Fuel coaches when out on the road.
  • Read maps, follow written and verbal geographic directions to get passengers to destinations safely.
  • Maintains bus cleanliness after each trip by ensure all passengers remove their trash.
  • Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs
  • Report accidents or any other traffic incidents and situation by text or phoning
  • Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
  • All other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma/GED or certification that is comparable to one of the two
  • Commercial Driver's License (with P endorsement) required.
  • Three years of experience driving buses and one year of over the road with coaches of a similar nature, preferably at the college level.
  • Successful history and record of safe and responsible driving.
  • Up to date DOT Medical Card to be in compliance.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
