    Job description

    Interns will report to a director of a Shaw University Divinity School program, such as the Center for Racial and
    Social Justice, Black Church Revitalization Collaborative, and Nurturing Children and Youth for the Future.
    Interns will assist the directors in carrying out programming and events, including, but not limited to, the 2025
    Shaw University Divinity School Minister's Conference.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Internship Modality
    โ€ข Internships will involve both remote and in-person responsibilities.
    โ€ข Students must be available to support approximately four (4) in-person events during the internship.
    โ€ข One of the events is the Minister's Conference April 2-4, 2025. Please note: events may be held on campus or
    ย  ย off-site and interns are responsible for their own transportation to all events.

    Internship Requirements
    โ€ข Interns will receive training
    โ€ข Interns will assist the director in the preparation, carrying out, and follow-up of approximately four (4) in person events, one of which will be the Minister's Conference inย  ย  ย  ย the Spring.
    โ€ข Preparation for each event: work with the SUDS program director to prepare for events, including designing
    ย  materials, scheduling venues, transport of materials, various arrangements, etc.
    โ€ข In-person support of each event: attend and staff the event. Responsibilities may include set-up and tear
    ย  down, hosting, check-in, moderating, photography, tech support, etc.
    โ€ข Follow-up for each event: work with the SUDS program director to follow-up on the event, including building
    ย  database, surveys, and other communications.
    โ€ข Interns must have flexibility and be available for the Minister's Conference, April 2-4, 2025, as well as
    ย  other in-person events to be arranged with directors at the beginning of the internship.

    Minimum Job Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    โ€ข Enrolled as a Shaw University Divinity School student in good standing.
    โ€ข Ability to effectively engage and work together with others.
    โ€ข Proficient computer skills utilizing MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
    โ€ข Ability to effectively multi-task and produce accurate professional work products under demanding
    ย  ย timelines.
    โ€ข Flexibility and willingness to periodically travel independently and work extended workdays and
    ย  ย occasional weekends as needed to meet desired objectives (i.e., Shaw Days, conferences, etc.)

    Physical Demands
