Maureen Joy Charter School is seeking a School Bus Driver for the 2026-27 school year.   
This position is part time with the option of full time available.
 
Work Hours: Monday - Friday split shift, Approximate work hours are 6:30am - 8:30 am and 3:00 pm - 5:30pm.
 
Rate of Pay: beginning salary at $21.37/hour (based on experience)
 
Commercial Driver License (CDL):
A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required to operate a school bus.
 
Job Responsibilities:
School bus drivers pick-up and drop-off students via established routes to and from school. They may also transport students and faculty for field trips, sporting events, summer camps, and other school-related activities. School bus drivers must be attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers. They must verify that their vehicles are operating properly each day by testing brakes, tires and other components by submitting a daily vehicle maintenance report. Drivers are also responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies.
 
Qualifications
REQUIRED: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements
Excellent customer service skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Spanish speakers and prior experience in a school system is a plus
$21.37 - $30.95 an hour
