Interior Exterior Building Supply, a leading commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is looking for a high-energy Outside Sales Representative to join our team in New Orleans, LA!

We are looking for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and growing sales within the residential construction market. This position will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with home builders, contractors, and other residential construction professionals while providing exceptional service and product solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and grow a territory of residential building material customers
  • Make regular in-person sales calls on existing and prospective customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer development
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with home builders, contractors, and other industry professionals
  • Understand customer needs and recommend the right products and solutions for their projects
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for potential jobs and actively follow up to secure the sale
  • Work closely with inside sales, operations, vendors, and branch personnel to ensure an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain accurate customer, sales, and project information
  • Stay informed about market conditions, competitive activity, products, and industry trends
  • Participate in customer events, product demonstrations, vendor programs, and other sales activities
  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of sales experience required; outside sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in the building materials, construction, or related industry preferred
  • Knowledge of building materials such as drywall, metal framing, lumber, roofing, insulation, and related products is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
