We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Build & Release Engineer to join the team of our exceptional client. This role focuses on owning and modernizing enterprise software build, packaging, and release processes across a complex multi-repository application platform.

This position requires a hands-on engineering professional with deep expertise in build automation, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and software packaging. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the release lifecycle from source control through deployment artifacts, while driving automation initiatives that improve reliability, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery timelines.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Build & Release Engineer, you will:

• Own the end-to-end release process, from version management and build orchestration through packaging, signing, and deployment

• Manage release candidate creation across multiple repositories and coordinated development streams

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot build, packaging, signing, and deployment pipelines

• Diagnose complex build failures, dependency issues, and packaging challenges across multiple systems

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using modern automation practices

• Develop and implement solutions that reduce manual release activities and improve delivery efficiency

• Enhance build reproducibility, artifact traceability, and release quality controls

• Improve dependency management and support efforts toward more scalable build architectures

• Maintain and optimize installer packaging processes and deployment artifacts

• Support code-signing processes and ensure release integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to coordinate release activities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing release lead times and operational overhead

• Identify, document, and eliminate technical and process debt impacting software delivery

• Communicate release readiness, risks, blockers, and timelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders


You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

• Strong experience managing enterprise software build and release processes

• Deep hands-on expertise with Maven, including multi-module and enterprise-scale build environments

• Experience working with complex dependency management and build orchestration workflows

• Experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines

• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, including pipeline development and automation

• Experience with modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or similar technologies

• Experience supporting multi-repository environments and release branching strategies

• Practical experience with monorepo architectures, dependency graph management, and incremental build strategies

• Strong Git and GitHub experience, including release workflows and source control best practices

• Experience with Windows installer packaging, MSI installation technologies, or similar deployment tooling

• Knowledge of software signing and release integrity processes

• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShellGroovy, or similar technologies

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

• Experience improving engineering workflows and reducing manual operational processes

• Ability to work independently while managing critical release activities and deadlines

• Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating across multiple teams

• Experience evaluating or implementing monorepo migration strategies

• Familiarity with build tools such as BazelNxTurborepo, or similar dependency-aware build systems

• Experience designing incremental or selective build processes
