Brokerage Coordinators are responsible to develop and maintain a profitable customer base; identify, source, qualify, and engage service providers for all Truckload Brokerage solutions; and negotiate rates and secure contracts with service providers, continually evaluating and monitoring service performance.

  • Provide T/L rate quotes to customers, working directly with customers on quotes and negotiate pricing for services.
  • Monitor email and electronic load boards.
  • Receive and process shipments according to customer needs, shipment entry, and tracking and follow up.
  • Manage daily load activities through discussion with customers and carriers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Contact assigned existing and potential customers on a determined schedule to develop customer and carrier relations to increase business
  • Generate business through cold calls, qualified leads from existing customers and Kelley account representatives.
  • Develop, maintain and grow customer relationships to create a diverse book of business.
  • Source, qualify and set up new carriers from start to finish providing timely distribution of information to teams by uploading into the TMS.
  • Secure contractual agreements with new service providers prior to load execution.
  • Accountable for service provider’s performance and pricing accuracy.
  • Research provider performance problems and provide feedback that facilitates resolution.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable department with any delinquent accounts.
  • Verify and establish customer’s credit

  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Self-motivated and possess ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Possess strong Customer Service skills
  • Experience with 3PL (Preferred)
  • 2-3 years brokerage/logistics experience
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and other technology related to the brokerage industry.
