We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Freight Broker, Associate. This entry-level role supports day-to-day logistics operations, including scheduling shipments, updating systems, developing carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and delivering excellent customer service.
What You'll Do
  • Secure coverage for booked truckload shipments while balancing cost, service, and profitability.
  • Stay current on market trends and rates to support competitive pricing.
  • Maintain accurate shipment information in TMW, AtlasNet, and other internal systems.
  • Source and onboard new carriers and brokers that strengthen our network and service offerings.
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively communicating with customers to resolve issues.
  • Partner with the STG team to identify backhaul opportunities and reduce deadhead miles.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support team success.

Qualifications
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics operations and/or a combination of both education and experience are required.
  • Basic knowledge of TL, LTL, and freight pricing structures.
  • Basic understanding of carrier negotiation and solid relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as TMW is a plus.
  • Possess the ability to schedule, track, and manage shipments while resolving issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
