What is an associate broker?

Associate brokers are licensed real estate professionals who have completed additional education and licensing requirements beyond those of a standard real estate agent. While they hold a broker's license, associate brokers typically work under the supervision of a managing or principal broker within a real estate firm. Their responsibilities often include assisting clients with buying, selling, or leasing properties, negotiating contracts, and sometimes overseeing other agents. However, unlike principal brokers, they usually do not own or manage the real estate brokerage themselves.
