About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity with a growing organization in the Iowa City area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The Bookkeeper will play a key role in ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as needed
  • Monitor cash flow and track outstanding invoices
