Job description

Our client is seeking a hands on/working Accounting Manager to lead key processes, strengthen controls and more.

You will earn a competitive salary of up to $120,000 per year, based on your experience, plus you will enjoy a generous company benefits package.

Some of your key responsibilities as the Accounting Manager will include oversee financial reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing core accounting processes
  • Approving daily transactions
  • Providing financial analysis across all companies to support leadership decision-making
  • Providing oversight to ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP and Statutory accounting standards
  • Leading budget development, forecasting, and three-year financial planning processes
  • Cost allocation methodologies
  • Overseeing timely and accurate preparation and review of required financial reporting
  • Coordinating preparation and support of financial audits
  • Coordinating budgets and audits (1099)
  • Providing people leadership through coaching, development, and performance management
  • Other duties as assigned

To qualify for the Accounting Manager position, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Insurance industry a plus
  • Five years’ related experience in accounting, including financial reporting, general accounting and budgeting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to share financials story
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Leadership and people management experience with ability to motivate the team
