Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Description:

PrideStaff Financial is working with a local business in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will manage financial records for a small to mid-sized business including  AP, AR, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and will report directly to the President.  The ideal Full-Charge Bookkeeper has 5 or more years of experience as a Bookkeeper, is proficient with accounting systems, understands GAAP, and has an eye for detail and accuracy.  The Full Charge Bookkeeper is a full-time, in-office, temp to hire position in Fresno, CA. 


Full Charge Bookkeeper Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use The General Ledger to Process Financial Statements on Cash & Accrual Basis
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliations For All Cash Accounts, Create Journal Entries & Maintain Accrual Schedules
  • Produce Timely & Accurate Monthly Financial Reports 
  • Assist With New Accounts, Financial Reports, & Accounting Systems or Software
  • Support, Review, & Approve All Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivables
  • Prepare, Review, & Assist With Annual Recovery Reconciliations & Estimated Billings
  • Reconcile General Ledger Accounts With Supporting Schedules Monthly
  • Prepare Monthly Standard Reporting Packages & Response to Managers’ & Clients’ Inquiries
  • Assist With Annual Budgets, Prepare Audit Packages, & Provide Lender Reports as Required 


Full Charge Bookkeeper Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • AA in Accounting or Finance Required, Bachelors Preferred 
  • 5+ Years of Full Charge Bookkeeping Experience Required 
  • Solid Experience With Quickbooks, Accounting Software, MS Office & Excel
  • Solid Understanding of GAAP & Multi Entity Accounting is a Plus
  • Demonstrates Exceptional Work Ethic, Attention to Detail & Driven by Deadlines
  • Highly Analytical & Possesses Superb Attention to Detail, Organization & Multitasking Skills
