Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for an organization based in Reading, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle with accuracy, maintain organized financial records, and provide dependable support across payables, receivables, and reconciliations. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, prioritizing deadlines, and using QuickBooks to keep financial activity current and well documented.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and maintain organized accounts payable records.

• Manage customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.

• Reconcile bank accounts regularly and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate cash records.

• Maintain the general ledger and support month-end close activities with consistent financial documentation.

• Review financial data for completeness and accuracy, correcting issues when needed and escalating concerns appropriately.

• Prepare routine accounting reports to help track financial activity and support business decision-making.

• Use QuickBooks to enter, update, and monitor accounting information while keeping records audit-ready.
