What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a booker?

To thrive as a Booker, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with scheduling and contract negotiation, often supported by relevant industry knowledge or a degree in business or communications. • Own guest targeting and outreach strategy for private roundtables and executive convenings
  • Shape attendee composition aligned with editorial framing and partner objectives
  • Curate rooms primarily composed of C-suite and senior executive leaders
  • Ensure thoughtful balance across sector, function, geography, and perspective
  • Maintain sensitivity to competitive dynamics and stakeholder considerations
  • Exercise independent editorial judgment to protect the integrity and quality of the room
Booking & Fill Management
  • Drive event fill while preserving appropriate seniority and room quality
  • Monitor RSVP flow, declines, booking risk, and pipeline health
  • Proactively manage capacity, fill ratios, and composition "health"
  • Flag risk early and escalate where appropriate
Executive Outreach & Communications
  • Draft and deploy polished, senior-level invitations
  • Manage confirmations, attendance visibility, and executive communications
  • Engage directly with CEOs, senior leaders, and their offices
  • Conduct targeted research on prospective and confirmed attendees
  • Identify and outreach to communications leads and chiefs of staff where appropriate
Internal Alignment & Briefings
  • Maintain real-time accuracy in Airtable and related tracking systems
  • Prepare briefing notes and attendee materials for internal teams
  • Send executive briefings to confirmed guests where required
  • Present booking progress and audience updates in internal and client calls
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, revenue, and operations teams
