Job description

Mower is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Proofreader to join our Production team. This role is responsible for proofreading and reviewing a wide range of advertising and marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammatical correctness, and alignment with client objectives and brand standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and passionate about language accuracy and quality control. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and bring a sharp eye for detail to every assignment.
This is a flexible, part-time position averaging up to 18 hours per week.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Proofread a variety of agency and client materials, including but not limited to:
    • Advertisements
    • Brochures
    • Sell sheets
    • Banner ads
    • Emails
    • Websites
    • Blog and social media content
    • RFPs
    • Press releases
    • Articles and other marketing communications
  • Review materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to client and brand guidelines
  • Digitally mark up Word documents and creative layouts within Mowerโ€™s proofing system
  • Provide production support, including filing and general administrative duties, as needed
Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • Minimum of an associateโ€™s degree required, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 0โ€“7 years of proofreading and editing experience in any professional environment; agency experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
  • Comfortable working on both Mac and PC platforms
  • Proficiency in proofreading digitally and working within collaborative review systems
Salary Range: $28 - $40 per hour
*Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience.
