BDA/DAS Install Tech
Apex Systems is looking for a BDA/DAS Install Tech who excels in their role and are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our client's internal and external end users and clients. Role: BDA/DAS Technician
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Location: Jacksonville, FL commercial locations
Rate: 26-30hr
Details :
Responsible for planning, installing, testing, and maintaining BDA/DAS systems, which are essential for ensuring reliable communication for first responders and other personnel within buildings, especially during emergencies.
Open to experienced tower/antenna techs.
  • Site Surveys:
  • Conducting thorough RF surveys to identify areas with weak or no radio signal coverage.
  • System Design:
  • Developing BDA/DAS systems that effectively address identified signal gaps and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Installation:
  • Physically installing BDA/DAS components, including amplifiers, antennas, and connecting cables, ensuring proper grounding and electrical safety.
  • Testing and Commissioning:
  • Rigorously testing the installed system to verify its functionality and performance, including signal levels, coverage areas, and interference.
  • Maintenance and Repair:
  • Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing damaged or malfunctioning components to ensure ongoing system reliability.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensuring that all work complies with local and federal regulations, including FCC GROL licensing requirements.
  • Training and Support:
  • Providing technical support and training to users of the BDA/DAS system, such as first responders and building maintenance personnel.
