Job description

Division: Eastern Funding
Department: EF - Operations
Reports to: Customer Service & Collections Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade: 6
Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.90
Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
Location: New York City, NY - 213 West 35th St
Purpose/Objective:
The position is responsible for assisting with all Eastern Funding delinquent customer accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Monitor and clear check and automatic debit bounces.
  • Notify loan officers and management team of action steps taken by collections specialist.
  • Be proficient in the Company's accounting software system.
  • Answer all customers billing related inquires.
  • Make ACH date and bank changes as required.
  • Create check spreadsheet for all incoming checks received by Customer Service.
  • Maintain the Eastern Funding used equipment list.
  • Maintain the repossession & returns list for all Specialty Vehicles.
  • Assist on repossession of equipment which requires visitation to the location for physical removal of assets.
  • Make suggestions to management with respect to loan workout.
  • Assist in house attorney in preparing default letter and in other legal matters.
  • Know and understand the company's BSA/AML compliance policies and participate in the company's ongoing compliance training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:
  • 2-4 years collections experience

Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong verbal communications
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Ability to work independently and understand the need for timely response and proactive measures
  • Ability to work cooperatively with team and other department colleagues
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Working knowledge of Tvalue, preferred
