Job Summary:
Under routine supervision, the position is responsible for ensuring that driver applicants meet J.B. Hunt's driver hiring standards and DOT regulations. The incumbent will review driver files and evaluate the safety records, driving experience, employment, and criminal history of each driver applicant.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with driver applicants, internal teams, external employers and partners, references, and government agencies to facilitate the background screening process. This includes informing drivers when they qualify and do not qualify and the date of qualification
  • Communicate with J.B. Hunt internal and field operations regarding applicants before and during the hiring process
  • Calculate and qualify experience as well as safety to ensure applicants meet Company and DOT hiring standards
  • Review and update applications as needed with information verified throughout the screening process
  • Apply J.B. Hunt's minimum hiring requirements to ensure we are hiring safe and qualified drivers
  • Work with the Quality Control department to ensure all qualifications have been met and the file is clear for hire

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The pay for this position is $19.50 an hour.
1 year of related experience, such as in a fast-paced office or call center, and/or military equivalent experience.
And Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Aptitude to learn new computer programs quickly
  • Ability to provide effective written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Dynamics or ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain professional during difficult conversations
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Provide superior service resulting in a favorable perception of the Company
  • Computer efficiency, comfort with web navigation, and ability to quickly navigate across multiple computer programs and systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment that shares common goals and daily expectations

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
