Job description

Maintenance Technician Job Description
This position is located in Chicago, Illinois reporting directly to an Operations Supervisor. The Maintenance Technician position cleans, maintains, and posts a group of pre-determined pieces of street furniture, Mall and Airport Advertising Panels. Cleaning is accomplished through daily site visits and successful implementation of Maintenance Cleaning Procedures. Minor maintenance is performed by following maintenance procedures, from the Maintenance Supervisor or through written Maintenance Procedures. Posting is accomplished weekly through company posting instructions.
Hourly Rate: $17.68
Driver License Required
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Responsible for all power washing (weather permitting) and hand cleaning, removal of graffiti, dirt, stickers, and debris for street furniture throughout Chicago.
  • Performs minor maintenance such as, but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, ballasts, trouble shoot electrical problems, replacing rotating mechanism, responding to emergencies to clean up and change broken glass, fixing AD box doors, replacing benches and other minor maintenance issues as deemed by the Operations Supervisor.
  • Responsible for posting advertisements in accordance with JCDecaux's terms and conditions
  • Snow and ice removal in accordance with the winter snow procedure. This may require the use of snowplows, snow blowers, and/or spreading snow melting chemicals.
  • Navigate, maintain, and drive company vehicles.
  • Handle, install, and position all moving materials.
  • Inspection of equipment and/or structures to assure there are no problems or errors.

  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs
  • Flexible schedule during winter months
