Job description

Lee Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician.

Both partโ€‘time and fullโ€‘time positions available.

The right candidate will have active Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, an active, unrestricted Florida license, a DEA number, and must be able to obtain an AHCA background verification under House Bill 531 (2025).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency care at Lee Memorial Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, Gulf Coast Medical Center, and the Coconut Point Freeโ€‘Standing Emergency Department
  • Rotate between locations as needed based on schedule and staffing
  • Perform standard interventions: intubation, central lines, chest tubes, stitches, splinting, I/D
  • Manage high acuity cases, cardiac/respiratory arrest codes, trauma alerts, and other emergency scenarios

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Active Florida medical license (unrestricted)
  • DEA registration
  • Able to obtain AHCA background verification as required by HB531
