Come join one of the fastest-growing independently owned distributors in Northern California.ย California Service Toolย is looking for anย Inside Salesย Specialist IIย to join ourย team,ย enhance our sales group, and help continue to fuel our aggressive growth plans. This positionย can be based inย Hayward or San Jose,ย CA, or Sparks, NVย andย will workย directly with clients to provideย various support functions.
The Inside Sales Specialist II will work with Outside Sales and independently to generate sales and marketing company product lines proactively and reactively, managing new and existing customers accounts, negotiating and interfacing with customers and tool suppliers while adhering to company sales policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of Inside Sales Specialist:
  • Proactively goes after new opportunities with new and existing customers every day to acquire new accounts. ย 
  • Develops new and current customer accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to incoming callers. Maintains current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms and other pertinent accounts details.ย 
  • Provides new and current customer with product information, including pricing, delivery, inventory stocking, and/or backorder availability functionally equivalent cross matches and value-added product information.
  • Evaluates open quotes or proposals weekly and expidetes and follows up on all back orders.
  • Under general guidelines, exercises independent judgement and responsibility other profitability of resale orders.
  • Evaluates problem accounts or orders. Work with appropriate with personnel to develop strategies, tactics and contingency plans to obtain desired market share. Recommends deviations from standard policies and procedures such as pre-purchase approvals for payment terms, discounts and freight charges.
  • Maintain current knowledge by utilizing training opportunities for current products to successfully to perform the job.ย 
  • Be mentally present from the beginning of the work day to the end.
  • Attend all required work meeting and training.,
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and brings all exceptions to management and they occur.
  • Responsible for sales within a medium to large size territory.
Qualifications of Inside Sales Specialist:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience ย (preferably within the Tool and Constructionย Distribution Industry) including cold calling, purchasing, marketing/sales required. ย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.ย 
  • College courses in sales, marketing or business administration preferred.ย 
  • Must be able to pass company background checkย 
  • Intermediate or better knowledge of computers, word processing and spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Customer-focused with a track record of developing sales and building relationships
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in analyzing data and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Maintains discretion and handles confidential information appropriately.
