Description
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Automotive Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dealership accounting office. This position is responsible for managing office personnel, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer requirements, and supporting the overall success of dealership operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with dealership accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Office Management
  • Oversee the daily operations of the dealership accounting office.
  • Supervise, train, and support office staff while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist ownership and management with administrative and financial projects as needed.

Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and account balances.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Oversee payroll coordination and related accounting functions.

Dealership Accounting
  • Oversee vehicle deal processing and ensure accuracy of sales documentation.
  • Monitor schedules and reconciliations, including inventory, contracts in transit, warranties, rebates, and receivables.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and dealership accounting standards.
  • Coordinate audits and provide requested financial documentation.
  • Work closely with department managers to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

General Duties
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve office processes and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with dealership management and department leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership accounting experience required.
  • Previous Office Manager or Controller experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $75,000 annually
