About the Role

Chapman Automotive Group is a family-owned dealership organization that has delivered exceptional service and a customer-first experience since 1966. As one of the leading automotive retailers in Arizona and Nevada, we take pride in our strong team culture and commitment to excellence.

Our Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale location is currently seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent automotive program graduates, lube technicians, or entry-level technicians looking to build a long-term career in the automotive industry. In this role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to develop your diagnostic and repair skills while gaining hands-on dealership experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform safety inspections and basic maintenance services including oil changes, fluid exchanges, and tire rotations
  • Assist senior technicians with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems
  • Complete repair order tasks under the supervision of experienced technicians
  • Communicate additional repair recommendations and service needs to the Service Advisor
  • Document inspection findings, recommended services, and completed work accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Automotive schooling or at least 6 months of entry-level technician experience required
  • ASE/factory certifications are a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organized, dependable, and motivated to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
