We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Automotive Sales Director to lead our sales operations across multiple locations and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

The Group Automotive Sales Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations across our network of dealerships, ensuring sales targets are met, and maximizing profitability. This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate with General Managers at each location, providing guidance, support, and strategic direction to achieve overall business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive group-wide sales strategies to achieve sales goals and increase market share, with a focus on the unique needs of the Upstate New York market.
  • Collaborate with General Managers at each dealership to set individual and group sales targets and monitor performance regularly.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices across dealerships.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to General Managers and sales teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • Work with General Managers to ensure optimal staffing levels, training programs, and inventory management at each dealership, considering regional preferences and seasonality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including manufacturers, vendors, and community partners across Upstate New York.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new vehicle models, and competitor activities, sharing insights with the team, with a focus on local and regional trends.
  • Oversee the implementation of group-wide sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve Customer experience and sales effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage the group's sales budget, ensuring financial performance is in line with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of success in automotive sales management, preferably with multi-dealership experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, dealership management software, and sales analytics tools.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
