Job description

This position will play a central role in our growth strategy by helping to evaluate, execute, and integrate acquisitions, and manage strategic messaging to our investors. We raise capital from a relatively small group of investors and deploy it in the acquisition of automotive dealerships, businesses in other retail segments, ancillary businesses, and corresponding real estate. These are integrated onto our platform and operated for the long term. With 57 dealerships and 45 franchises across the West, we are at an inflection point where we are adding talent to help drive our growth and business architecture.
Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, our new team member will be an active participant in defining the future of our company by helping drive all facets of the M&A and capital raising process, as well as a broad array of corporate-level activities, including new business line analysis, forecasting, planning, project management, and process design and implementation. This is an on-site, in-office opening.
Corporate Development Analyst Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to M&A program - analyze acquisition targets, complete due diligence, close transactions and integrate newly acquired businesses onto our platform
  • Support capital raising and management of investor relations function
  • Perform activities related to management of our growing real estate portfolio
  • Evaluate new markets and assess potential business adjacencies
  • Execute special projects for executive team that drive strategic value for the company

Work Environment: This is an on-site, in-office role with flexibility around hours. This is a full-time opportunity.

Corporate Development Analyst Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms, database tools, AI applications, or other data management and analytics systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of valuation methodologies and financial analysis techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
