Principal Associate, Project Management - Card Associate Experience Mobility & Talent Lead (Hybrid)

As a Project Manager on the Card Associate Experience team, you will lead critical and strategic business projects that directly impact the Card organization and our associates. In this role, you will be the lead for our Mobility & Talent strategy. Your responsibilities will include leveraging data and insights and establishing close partnerships with leaders and partners across Card to help steer and execute on this important body of work. Your goal is to help make Card the top destination for talent through partnerships with our Students & Grads (S&G) and Workforce Development (WFD) programs and broader talent pipelines.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Own end-to-end demand and allocation processes and strategies for S&G and WFD programs across Card. This includes sourcing demand from Card organizations, identifying managers for interns and full-time associates, and managing rotations across Card.

  • Establish well-managed processes and "always-on" resources for the Mobility & Talent portfolio, including key project documentation, ensuring project plans deliver on intent.

  • Leverage data to drive demand and allocation conversations.

  • Identify and implement strategic KPIs to support long-term success and produce quarterly reports showcasing mobility and talent trends.

  • Forge relationships with Chiefs of Staff, HRBPs, Finance and TA partners, and Program AEs. Represent S&G in Card Headcount Forums and serve as a bridge to the WFD team.

  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

The Candidate:

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal for executive audiences

  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

  • Strong project and program management skills

  • Strong understanding of data, inclusive of Google Sheets formulas

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing demands and situations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience

  • At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite (Sheets and Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of analysis or strategy experience

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Project Manager


Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
