Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Project Manager in Norfolk, VA.  The Project Manager will direct all phases of programs from inception through completion. The role will primarily focus on developing responses to customer requests for quotation and providing comprehensive project management support to the Program Management Office.

Essential Functions:

  • Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test. Expand the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area to include Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Or a Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects or processes with general supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Machined components/Fabrication experience
  • Active Security Clearance.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $67K-$124K.   The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $57K-$107K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
