Job description

Job Title: Platform Infrastructure Engineer 
Job Location: Concord, NH 
Job Type: Contract 

Job Description:  

  • Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support scalable, secure workloads. 

  • Lead or contribute to cloud migration and legacy modernization initiatives from on-prem to GCP. 

  • Develop, maintain, and review Terraform modules and enforce IaC best practices for infrastructure provisioning and management. 

  • Collaborate with Architects, Security, and Networking teams to ensure platforms meet compliance, performance, and resiliency requirements. 

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/logging solutions, and automated guardrails. 

  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production infrastructure. 

  • Support documentation and knowledge sharing around infrastructure architecture, standards, and runbooks. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 1+ years on GCP. 

  • Experience with GCP is a must for this position. 

  • Proven experience with infrastructure migration (on-prem to GCP or multi-cloud to GCP). 

  • Proficiency in networking concepts, VPC design, IAM policies, cloud security, and resource provisioning in GCP. 

  • Solid hands-on expertise in Terraform and IaC practices. Experience with one or more scripting languages - Python, Bash, or similar languages. 

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Cloud Operations, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.). 

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer). 

  • Knowledge of multi-region HA/DR architecture design 

  • Experience aligning infrastructure with compliance frameworks like FedRAMP Background in site reliability engineering (SRE). 

  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization tools and FinOps practices 

  • Familiarity with containerized workloads and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, GKE).
