Capstone Logistics, a leading Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider, is the market leader in providing specialized, technology-enabled solutions for the full spectrum of supply chain activities. SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, Typical Corporate hours

This is an exciting time to join Capstone Logistics. To support this multifaceted growth, the Human Resources department is experiencing an exciting transformation; as we re-assess and re-invent our structure, processes, and mindset to meet the challenges of our fast-growing and ever-changing business. We are looking for a creative and innovative HR Generalist who can easily shift from performing operational tasks to delivering value added services in alignment to business objectives. On a daily basis, this role will provide hands-on generalist support to the local site while simultaneously playing a critical role in the roll-out of new programs and initiatives.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Provide consultative support and partnership to site management to address operational and talent issues and proactively translate business needs into creative HR solutions
  • Perform associate relations activities including counseling on conflict resolution, performance issues, disciplinary action, assessment, and processing of termination requests. Conduct investigations with clear documentation and follow-through. Respond and/or assist with EEOC / legal claims
  • Advise, coach and guide management to improve work relationships and offer solutions which result in improved effectiveness and engagement of their teams and team members
  • Evaluate and improve current HR processes to ensure maximum service delivery and improved operational effectiveness
  • Facilitate the deployment, delivery and change management of existing and new HR programs, processes, and policies to ensure business understanding and adoption
  • Acute ability to identify and analyze trends and formulate data-driven recommendations resulting in measurable value and maximum operational effectiveness
  • Assess training and development needs. Partner with broader HR team on evaluation, execution, and feedback systems
  • Answer questions and provide support to client group on all HR related issues including but not limited to PTO/sick pay, interpretation of company policies and legal compliance
  • Resolve associate concerns in a timely manner and in a way that builds trust and credibility
  • Recommend creative ways to improve the associate experience and enhance our high-performance, results oriented culture

What You Need to be Successful in the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 3 or more years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced and dynamic organization
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels
  • Results-oriented with proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant employment laws and policies
  • Experience with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems
  • Flexible while recognizing when there is a need for structure
  • Passionate about business partnering, people development, process optimization and employee engagement
