Job description

Our client is a dedicated clinical research organization that has been making a profound, life-changing impact on families for over 9 years. Operating across 4 locations, they are deeply committed to their mission, seeing the tangible impact daily through the children and families whose lives are directly improved by the innovative drug therapies they test. Innovative Outsourcing is seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented HR professional to join us in supporting the passionate team of 30+ employees and 50 independent contractors who drive this critical mission forward.

This is a hybrid, part-time position averaging 15โ€“20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to meet business and personal needs. The role is based in the Atlanta, GA office and will involve approximately 50% on-site work. This position will be on Innovative Outsourcing's payroll.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for 30+ employees, including pre-screen calls, managing candidate pipelines, coordinating video interviews with leadership, and conducting reference and background checks.
  • Design, execute, and continuously improve the end-to-end onboarding framework for all newly hired employees and our robust network of 50+ independent contractors.
  • Manage all contractor compliance, paperwork, and initial orientation, and use operational downtime to audit employee files and ensure compliance benchmarks are met.
  • Act as an accessible, trusted HR contact and employee advocate, proactively addressing concerns and strengthening workplace culture during a rebuilding and transition phase.
  • Coordinate minimal but meaningful employee engagement activities, such as primary monthly staff lunches, to foster connection and team cohesion.
  • Partner closely with internal leadership and the VP of Finance to stabilize, align, and rebuild team capacity.
Who You Are
  • A dynamic, hands-on professional with experience navigating HR operations, recruiting, and contractor compliance (a formal degree is not required).
  • Comfortable operating independently and building sustainable HR processes in an evolving organizational structure.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with exceptional attention to detail and relentless follow-through.
  • Possesses high emotional intelligence and ease of speaking to diverse groups of people across the organization.
  • Technically proficient, with native comfort using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Experience with or willingness to learn the Gusto payroll system.
Compensation

$32.00โ€“$35.00 per hour, based on relevant experience. This position will be on Innovative Outsourcing's payroll.
