Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with Mine Health & Safety Act are observed by employees. This includes planning the necessary resources in manpower and budgeting to accomplish site safety goals in the PaSSE and SHARP plans and monitoring the safety program and its effectiveness to ensure a safe workplace
  • Participate in appropriate safety training for all assigned employees
  • Interface with MSHA and other governing health and safety agencies at local and federal level as required
  • Follow up investigations working with Safety Committee, and others as needed
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of all electrical employees assigned
  • Ensure preventative action is taken to avoid the occurrence of nonconformities relating to product or process or to the quality system

Job Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering minimum, Electrical Engineering Technology, Master Electrician or related field, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years industrial, mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience; industry background in heavy manufacturing related; mining, paper mills, steel plants, refining, utilities, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants industries preferred
  • Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions; working knowledge of material handling feeders, convey or belt systems, and general knowledge pumping systems; experience in PLC or Wonderware troubleshooting is required
  • Strong computer skills; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP and Microsoft Project experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal/people skills; results driven; self-starter; able to initiate and be willing to hold others accountable for achieving company and site objectives
