About This Role
The Associate Electrical Engineer contributes to the innovation of HVAC and Motor Control technologies by assisting senior engineers in high-level design tasks, troubleshooting, and product support in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with senior engineers to learn, support, and design HVAC and Motor Controls products.
  • Prepare release packages consisting of Bill of Materials, drawings, fixtures/tooling, and more.
  • Interface with customers to determine critical design requirements and create design specifications.
  • Create and perform proof of concept experiments as well as bench level product testing to ensure product viability and technology robustness.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to coordinate implementing engineering and process changes of revised products through ECN's and CAR's.
  • Support product failure investigations. Perform robust root cause analysis of production issues, product design issues, implement appropriate containment, and drive corrective action.
  • Ensure component reliability based on technical & lab validation of vendor's designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead/Support engineering product cost reduction and quality improvement projects
  • Perform component End-Of-Life engineering activities.
  • Occasional travel to customers and suppliers is required

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Design experience in product development and/or manufacturing environment in a capital equipment industry.
  • Knowledge of how to conduct fundamental electrical troubleshooting on electrical components, PCBA's, power supplies, filters, motors, and other electromechanical components etc.
  • Experience with electronics test and measurement tools (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, etc).
  • Requires strong technical writing in support of design inputs, design outputs, qualification activities, regulatory requirements, and related pursuits.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to perform various functions in support of new product development (NPD) and production support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Bill of Material (BOM) creation and manufacturing process knowledge essential.
  • Experience with PCB schematic and layout software package Knowledge of quality control principles, business processes, and PLM principles.
  • Demonstration of strong time management skills.
  • Understanding of PLC, PIC, Microprocessors.
  • Knowledge of motor control architectures and power electronics.
  • Programming knowledge (C++, C#, Assembly).

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
