Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Electrical Engineer Harness Design position is responsible for developing cable harness assemblies within the Space & Mission Systems (SMS) Segment of L3Harris.ย  This team designs cable harness assemblies that are used in space-based applications, avionics systems, and verification testing purposes. ย Team members need general working knowledge of connector interfaces, assembly tooling, and design tools.


Essential Functions:

  • Design of point to point and complex cable assemblies
  • Calculate bundle diameters for material stack up and bend radius limitations
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to ensure adherence to customer expectations or requirements
  • Develop design documentation for cable harness assemblies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • AutoCAD electrical 2023 or newer electrical harness design experience
  • PTC Creo V12 or newer modeling experience
  • Creo cable flattening design tool experience
  • Windchill/AgilePDM PLM tool experience
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 space addendum certification
