Job description

Chief Information Officer (CIO) Confidential – Premier Restaurant Group | Dallas, TX | Full-Time | Executive Leadership

CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH: The identity of the hiring organization is being withheld at this time. Qualified candidates will receive full details upon mutual interest. All inquiries will be handled with the utmost discretion.

About the Opportunity

A confidential, family-owned Premier Restaurant Group — one of the largest multi-unit operators in the country with over 500 locations across five nationally recognized brands and a substantial commercial real estate portfolio — is conducting an executive search for a Chief Information Officer. This is a transformational leadership opportunity to build, modernize, and own the technology vision for an organization of significant scale and complexity.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the senior leadership team, the CIO will align technology strategy with business objectives across restaurant operations, real estate, finance, and corporate infrastructure. This leader will be empowered to assess, architect, and execute a best-in-class technology roadmap.

What You'll Own

Technology Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and own the enterprise-wide IT strategy aligned to growth goals across 500+ restaurant locations and a 75+ asset real estate portfolio
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the CEO, President, and ownership team — translating complex technology decisions into clear business outcomes
  • Establish a multi-year technology roadmap covering infrastructure, cybersecurity, data/analytics, restaurant systems, and enterprise applications

Restaurant & Operations Technology

  • Oversee selection, implementation, and optimization of POS systems, back-of-house platforms, digital ordering, loyalty integrations, and franchise-facing technology tools
  • Partner with Brand and Operations leadership to identify technology-driven efficiencies and guest experience improvements across all five restaurant concepts
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships across restaurant tech, third-party delivery platforms, and franchisor system requirements

Enterprise IT & Infrastructure

  • Lead all enterprise IT functions including networks, hardware, cloud infrastructure, helpdesk, and end-user support across corporate and field locations
  • Build and enforce a robust cybersecurity framework protecting company data, POS systems, and guest information
  • Oversee ERP, HRIS, and financial systems integrations to support cross-functional reporting needs

Data, Analytics & Innovation

  • Build the company's data infrastructure and analytics capabilities to drive better decision-making across operations, marketing, real estate, and finance
  • Champion adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and competitive positioning
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into operational and financial performance

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing IT team — building structure, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage IT budget, vendor contracts, and technology spend with a focus on ROI and scalability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure technology enables every department

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, with at least 3–5 years in a senior role (CIO, CTO, VP of IT, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, hospitality, or franchise environments strongly preferred
  • Track record leading enterprise technology transformations — infrastructure modernization, system migrations, or digital transformation at scale
  • Deep understanding of restaurant technology ecosystems: POS (e.g., Oracle MICROS, Toast, PAR), digital ordering, loyalty platforms, and third-party delivery integrations
  • Strong command of cybersecurity principles, compliance frameworks, and data privacy best practices
  • Experience building IT teams, managing budgets, and overseeing vendor relationships
  • Exceptional executive communication skills — able to present technology strategy to a family-owned leadership team in plain business terms
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

What's Offered

  • Competitive executive compensation package — details provided upon advancement in the process
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan and paid time off
  • Direct access to CEO and family ownership team
  • The opportunity to define and build an enterprise IT function from the ground up at a company with real scale and decades of success
