Job Description:

As an Account Executive supporting the Mars Snacking Away From Home Team, you will manage customer relationships and deliver incremental sales and profit within multiple foodservice segments including Distribution, K-12, College/University, Healthcare, Business & Industry, & Commercial accounts. This is a fully remote position and is to be based in Atlanta, GA.  This account executive will manage the State of Georgia and East Tennessee.


A Taste of What You Will Be Doing

  • Development and Execute Business Plan - Oversee and create new business opportunities to enhance the Mars Snacking profile within the food service industry. Taking a data-driven approach, you will focus on void closures, white space opportunities, optimizing assortment, and upselling.
  • Leading Sales Efforts - Strive to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations resulting in fostering loyalty, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving growth.
  • Conduct Business Reviews and Provide Business Solutions - Conduct business reviews with top operators and distributors. This will involve providing business solutions grounded in fact-based category management, including consumer insights, industry trends, demographic information, and customer analysis. This can include leading sales trainings/meetings, distributor and industry trade shows. Presentation skills are a must.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Use CRM to maintain accurate and frequent customer information and record all sales and call activity. Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify trends. In addition to CRM, we utilize a full suite of technology to include, Vistex, Tibersoft, Power BI, and Telus.
  • Collaboration - Work with cross-functional team members towards common sales goals and drive towards continuous improvement in overall sales performance. Must be a team player and have a hunger to win.

We're Looking for Someone With

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in Food Service sales and account management
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans with a focus on customer communication and account penetration
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and strong financial acumen
  • Analyze and interpret data (Circina, CRM, Direct Sales)
  • Strong understanding of trade strategy, pricing agreements, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel overnight and can expect up to 45% of travel time per month.
  • This is a driving role which requires the use of a vehicle. To meet the requirements of the role, you must possess a valid driver's license and your driving record must be clear of any combination of violations or one-time significant events occurring in a personal or company vehicle within the previous 36 months

Thebase pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, andexperience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the positionand employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicablepolicies andplans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave.Employees will also receivethe following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule):120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year,and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
