Job description

K2 Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Recruitment Specialist to join their HR team. This position is available with the flexibility to work remotely. K2 Insurance offers the opportunity to join an established company in growth mode. Job Summary

Reporting to the Talent Manager, the Recruitment Specialist will have primary responsibilities in the full cycle recruitment process. The Recruitment Specialist will also perform a variety of professional, technical and analytical human resources activities in support of one or more functions within the HR department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administers recruitment and selection activities for assigned programs and positions.
  • Prepares and post job announcements and job board postings.
  • Prepares and administers job-related selection procedures.
  • Responds to applicant and candidate questions and concerns using applicant tracking system, ADP.
  • Conduct telephone pre-screenings and interviews.
  • Helps develop questions to be used for all interview sessions.
  • Invites applicants and panel members to participate in interviews.
  • Coordinates or sets up virtual interview meetings.
  • Counsels current employees and applicants regarding employment opportunities and selection process.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Ensures candidate activity and status is updated in the applicant tracking system.
  • Monitors, reviews and screen applications, resumes and supporting documents received from applicants (including credentials, certifications, licensures and/or school transcripts).
  • Completes all pre-employment items including but not limited to, background check, reference checks, verification of I9 documentation, payroll paperwork, etc.
  • Works with IT on technology access which will encompass both request forms and our ATS system.
  • Initiates thank you correspondences for applicants not selected for interviews.
  • Dispositions remaining candidates within the applicant tracking system for every job posting.
  • Assist HR team with miscellaneous administrative tasks, to include management of personnel files.
  • Possible occasional travel to team office in Pennsylvania and or San Diego.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Intermediate to proficient skills in the use of various sources of social media, to include ability to communicate with staff and candidates via video conferencing means.
  • Experience with, and ability to quickly learn new systems, such as applicant tracking system, HRIS systems, etc.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all applicants and staff members exercising tact, diplomacy and patience at all times.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to conduct professional interviews and promote positive and professional image.
  • Position will be remote, must have the ability to work in a dedicated remote environment free of distractions, with ability to conduct interviews and participate in meetings via video conferencing means.

Education/Experience

  • Business Administration Degree is preferred.
  • Experience working in the commercial insurance industry.
  • Must have 2-3 years minimum experience in a Human Resources role or commercial insurance recruiting.
  • Experience with 360 recruiting.
  • Preferable agency or direct work experience.
  • Property and Casualty license preferred but not required.
