What You'll Be Doing (The Role)
As a Hybrid Dental Assistant & Receptionist, you will adapt to daily patient flow and keep both the back and front office running smoothly:
Clinical Dental Assisting (~50%):
  • Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during exams, restorative care, cosmetic treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Operatory Prep & Sterilization: Prepare, sanitize, and break down treatment rooms; process instruments following strict infection-control standards.
  • Digital Radiography: Take and process clear diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
  • Patient Care & Charting: Escort patients to operatories, assist with clinical charting, and ensure patients feel informed and relaxed.

Front Office Reception (~50%):
  • Patient Hospitality & Check-In: Warmly greet patients, manage check-in/checkout, answer phone calls, and assist with scheduling.
  • Schedule Optimization: Confirm appointments, fill schedule gaps, and keep daily appointment books running productively.
  • Administrative Flow: Verify insurance benefits, update patient records, and collect co-pays at the time of service.
  • Patient Communication: Guide patients through care plan details, treatment scheduling, and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of clinical dental assisting experience.
  • 1-2+ years of dental front office/reception experience.
  • Arizona Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification (Required).
  • Arizona Dental Assistant Certification (Preferred).
  • Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred).
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience preferred), appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk workflow.
  • Deep knowledge of dental terminology, procedure codes, and Arizona clinical compliance standards.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working independently in both clinical and front office environments.
