Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage is hiring for an Assistant Program Director- Unit Manager at Palm Beach Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Located in beautiful Pompano Beach, our workplace offers the perfect blend of coastal charm and vibrant community life-ideal for those who enjoy sunny weather, a relaxed lifestyle, and easy access to South Florida's thriving business and cultural scene.
Palm Beach Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.
Starting Pay: $70,000

What you will do: The Assistant Program Director- Unit Manger is responsible for the quality delivery and oversight of the treatment, educational, vocational and student health and welfare services in accordance with Rite of Passage policies and procedures as-well-as federal, state, and local rules, regulations, licensing, practices and laws. In the absence of the Program Director, this position is responsible for the day-to-day site operations, administrative oversight for the site, and leader of the site management team. This position ensures that the Mission and Values of ROP are represented in every facet under his/her organizational control.
The Assistant Program Director develops, implements, manages and modifies the Rite of Passage program, and is responsible for:
OPERATIONS: Site operations, policies and procedures; Educational/vocational departments; Safety, health and welfare of staff and students; Clinical services, education, vocation and health and welfare "Best"; Chairperson for site Management Meeting; Oversees delivery of the Rite of Passage daily program.
FINANCE: Assists the Program Director with managing the budget, site expenditures, Position Control Roster, and reporting.
HUMAN RELATIONS: Training and continuous development of site management team. Ensure training compliance (Pre-Service, Ops, OJT, and In-Service). Employee Evaluation Discipline and/or corrective action; Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained within established Position Control Roster standards.
To be considered you should:
Have a BA/BS in related field (master's degree preferred).
Have experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Florida.
Have a minimum of four years of related experience in residential facility management.
Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
